For those that think this looks familiar: this is episode 1 of what was previously released as "The Maiden Diaries". The series has 5 episodes, but only 4 were released uncensored in the West. If "Issyo ni H Shiyo" is any indication, Oceanveil will probably skip the second episode as well due to the underage-looking heroine of that episode. Oh, a correction: it's Claire Burton (or Barton). There's zero possibility of 「バ―トン」 being correctly romanized as "Bartoon" (notice the lack of a second prolonged sound mark 「―」 after the 「ト」).

Why even release under wrong name it's not even the English name for it. Not impressed with this new group so far. No softsubs all hard subbed and now releasing under totally wrong name so any type of managers will not even be able to properly sort it due to fake names. Why not release the original uncensored by [ASS-HENTAI] group which did release it uncensored than release an entire new release under a fake name.

@molitar OceanVeil's video quality sucks for older titles, so why are you guys even downloading these? The DVD ISOs are better.

@molitar "The Bird in the Shell" is an accurate translation of 「殻の中の小鳥」 ("The Baby Bird in its Eggshell"). "The Maiden Diaires" is an anthology title based on the English names for the individual OVA releases ("Maiden of Desire", "Maiden of Decadence", etc.). Personally, I have no qualms with new companies releasing new translations of previously-licensed titles, especially when they're more accurate. As Hefs said, we can always nab DVD/BD-Rips elsewhere. I appreciate Doomdos releasing these here, letting us judge the translation before wasting money on a subscription that might not be worth it. The hard-coded subtitles, while inconvenient, aren't too difficult to recreate in SubStation Alpha with frame-perfect timing to carry over to the DVD release. That said, I agree with your underlying point: when different companies license the same title under different names, it's a pain to keep things organized. Sticking to Oceanveil / Coolmic for a moment: OV decided to release the Yoasobi Gurashi anime under its Japanese name (which would translate to "The Nightlife Lifestyle"), while CM went with the ridiculous "Locked in a Fuck Room" for the manga. I'm not a fan of the arbitrary rename either. On another note, Doomdos has uploaded Oceanveil's Episode 2 of Eggshell Chickadee, which is correctly identified as Ren Yuki's chapter. The filename says it's uncensored, but the screenshot sample shows otherwise. Kinda disappointing, but better than skipping the episode entirely like with the original NA release...
